Starting April 1st, Scoot is spreading its wings even wider, bringing more weekly flights from Singapore to South Korea, Japan, and Taiwan.
In a press release dated March 28th, the budget airline shared its plans to bump up the direct flights from Singapore to Seoul from three to four each week. Not stopping there, they’re also ramping up the weekly flights to Taiwan from 19 to 21.
But wait, there’s more! Scoot isn’t just adding more direct flights; they’re jazzing up their routes to Tokyo and Seoul by throwing in layovers in Taipei. For those headed to Tokyo via Taipei, you’ll now have twelve flights a week to choose from, up from seven. And if Seoul’s your destination via Taipei, you’ll have an extra flight, bringing the total to five per week.
A spokesperson spilled the beans, saying, “This expansion is all about meeting the surge in demand and giving travelers more options between Singapore, Taipei, Tokyo, and Seoul.”
Scoot isn’t just any airline; it’s the cool kid under the Singapore Airlines umbrella, known for its unique “Scootitude.” Since taking off in November 2011, Scoot has been all about linking people and cultures, pushing boundaries, and catering to those adventurous souls who want value for their money.
Despite the airline industry’s average fleet age being around 15½ years, Scoot keeps it fresh with an average fleet age of just over 6 years. They started with two Boeing 777-200 planes in 2012 and have been expanding ever since, recently adding Embraer E190-E2s to their fleet to make regional travel even better.
Scoot isn’t just about planes; they’re all about the journey. They’re always on the lookout for ways to make your trip smoother, quieter, and more eco-friendly. With Airbus A320neo and A321neo planes boasting spacious economy seats with leather seats, they’re ensuring you’re comfy while also cutting fuel burn and emissions by up to 20 percent. Now that’s what I call flying in style!
